The journey to motherhood is not an easy one for all mommas. For some, it’s a long battle. One that includes sleepless nights filled with tears. Questions that seem to go unanswered. It can often be filled with hurtful comments. Painful unexplained losses.

The journey is hard. But the blessing at the end of that journey is one of the best gifts. A blessing from God above. It was such an honor to capture these sweet moments from Summer and her husband. There story really touched my heart. You could feel every disappointment they met along the way, and you could just soak up all the joy they were experiencing in the moments leading up to baby’s arrival.

It’s true that every mother has a unique pregnancy experience. One of the blessings of being behind the camera for these sweet revelations is getting to know each individual story as I capture the story of their lifetime.

One of the biggest questions I get from my maternity clients, is when to schedule that session. I often say, get it scheduled sooner than later, but keep in mind that baby bump presents best in photos usually anywhere between 29-36 weeks. Just make sure you don’t wait too long, because sometimes babies like to make a surprise (early) debut!
