Hi there, I’m Melissa, a fine art portrait artist in Central Illinois. As a mom of two children under the age of 6, life can be crazy… including a very busy schedule, dramatic tantrums, cleaning up just to turn around to another mess, and constant chaos… This is easily my every day!

Despite the chaos, I am surrounded by love and constant reminders of the days that have led me here. Days full of joy, laughter, and the love of our closest friends and family. Family… in the end, that is what it is all about and truly what matters most.

Our wedding day was a magical experience that marked the beginning of our own little family. Our home is full of pictures from our engagement, wedding day, and now celebrations with our kids. They serve as proof that family and motherhood are worth every single minute (even in the chaos). I like to think of them as little windows showcasing a glimpse into those wonderful memories at every stage in our lives.

To be honest, it’s not uncommon for me to get that same warm and fuzzy feeling I had on the very day those images were made and every single time I pass by my little windows. It is my hope that through my gift as a portrait artist I can help give other families their own little windows captured in time.

Melissa also teaches classes for the beginning photographers and mentors other photographers and business owners.
